How WaterBow Sessions Are Structured — Micro-Flows, Day Trips & Journeys (a11)

WaterBow uses a modular structure built around micro-flows, which combine into Day Trips (single sessions) and Journeys (multi-week programs). This system makes movement flexible, accessible, and deeply enjoyable for every body.



💧 What Are Micro-Flows?

Micro-flows are the core building blocks of every WaterBow session. They're short guided videos, typically 4 to 6 minutes long, each led by a qualified WaterBow guide with a clear purpose.

Every micro-flow is categorized by:

Phase — Awakening (warm-up, activation), Exploring (strength, mobility, functional challenge), Celebrating (dance-inspired, expressive movement), or Reflecting (cool-down, stretch, nervous system reset).

Intensity Level — Easy, Medium, or Advanced.

Focus Area (optional) — Balance, Mobility, Strength, Core, Cardio Light, Coordination, Fascia, or Relaxation.

Think of micro-flows like movement building blocks — they give structure, flexibility, and variety to every session.


💧 What Is a Day Trip?

A Day Trip is a full guided session, usually 15 to 45 minutes, built from a sequence of micro-flow guided videos.

How many phases does a Day Trip include?

A Day Trip can include three or four phases, depending on the goal and duration.

A typical 3-phase Day Trip: Awakening → Exploring or Celebrating → Reflecting.

A full 4-phase Day Trip: Awakening → Exploring → Celebrating → Reflecting.

How do longer Day Trips work?

To extend a Day Trip to 40 minutes or more, you add multiple Exploring or Celebrating micro-flows in the middle. The Awakening (warm-up) and Reflecting (cool-down) typically stay as single phases, while the core of your session grows through additional middle phases.

If someone prefers a very calming experience focused purely on gentle activation and relaxation, they could customize their session differently. With the upcoming platform and app, you'll have full flexibility to create your own Day Trips and Journeys however you like.


💧 What Is a Journey?

A Journey is a structured multi-week program built from multiple Day Trips.

Example: 4-Week Journey — Three Day Trips per week with guided progression, theme-based storytelling, and whole-body mobility and strength benefits.

Your WaterBow comes with a QR code card in the box that takes you straight to your first 4-week guided Journey — a complete beginner program designed to help you build confidence and find your rhythm from day one.

Journeys give structure and consistency without feeling rigid or repetitive.


💧 What Are the Four Movement Phases?

Awakening — Gently activates your body, opens joints, and connects breath with movement.

Exploring — Strengthens core and stabilizer muscles, improves mobility, and builds confidence through water-guided instability.

Celebrating — Expressive, joyful, dance-inspired movement that uplifts mood and enhances coordination.

Reflecting — A soothing guided cool-down with stretching, breathwork, and nervous system reset.


💧 Will I Be Able to Build My Own Sessions?

Yes — and this is where it gets exciting.

With the upcoming WaterBow platform and mobile app (launching April 2026), you'll be able to create your own Day Trips and build your own Journeys.

Create Your Own Day Trips — Combine micro-flow guided videos, choose phases, intensity, and focus areas, select your preferred themes and music, and customize the duration.

Build Your Own Journeys — Design multi-week personal programs on your schedule with your goals. Save and repeat your favorite flows, track progress, and share with the community (future release).
